an amazing thing happened…a woman was born that carried my destiny.  She was born to wonderful parents and into a family with 2 older brothers.  From what I understand her brothers were more like fathers to her and growing up with 3 fathers creates a woman of noble character!  Wise beyond her years, an administrator, a multi-tasker, a beautiful musician, a lover of people and a lover of God.

I am so thankful today on this Thanksgiving 2008, for November 27, 1946!  The day my mom was born:)  Without her I would not exist, without her I would not have survived my teen years, without her I would not have had the stamina to persevere during the tough times, without her I would not know how to multi-task or write amazing letters;), without her my family would not be eating turkey today!

Happy Birthday Mom!  I am most thankful for you and all the time and energy you have put into growing me into a reflection of Jesus!  You put me on the path and directed my ways and for that I am very thankful.  I’m also very thankful that you cook turkey dinner for our family and it tastes so good.  I’m thankful that someday you’ll come to my house and eat the turkey dinner I make and will encourage me all the way. I’m thankful that you love my kids with more than a grandmothers heart!  I’m thankful that you were born and chose to give life!

I love you,

Tracy

  1. Dear Tracy
Now that my tears have stopped flowing, I’m not sure I can adequately describe how touched I am by your beautiful words. God truly blessed me with such a loving daughter, and I’m so proud of the woman you have grown to be. You are truly “a reflection of Jesus” and now I’m the one that is learning so much from you. Thank you for this gift of loving words. I will treasure them always. As for dinner, the bird’s in the oven, my birthday cake is baked, frosted, and ready for grandchildren to decorate (ha), and I am eternally grateful that today I will be surrounded by my family, the 6 people that God uses to decorate my life in such a loving way. See you in a couple of hours and thank you again for this birthday gift. I am truly humbled by it.
    Love you forever and always!!!
    Mom
