Glorious Hope

My Hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness….

So, this Glory list…God has brought me to this unbelievable place.  Have you ever traveled to a place in your mind where there was not much hope, where joy was not found?  I know you have…we go there and make a little home and think that someone or something will bring us happiness.  We try a hot coffee in the morning, a new song on our IPOD, a super-duper 70% off sale at The Loft, we wait for a hug from our dearest loved one or a soft word spoken at just the right time.  But nothing truly satisfy’s.  To be frank, it sucks!  It plain sucks because we are lookin’ in the wrong places and no one, no one, will find hope in those things, no one will find lasting joy and every single stinkin’ time you’ll be let down and disappointed.  Eventually, the things you and I go to, the people you and I depend on, will disappoint and leave us feeling less than hopeful!

I have found the answer!  There’s still hope for me today cause the God of Heaven loves me.  When we really understand that, and only go to the God of all Creation, the God who gives REAL JOY, REAL HOPE, REAL LOVE, REAL ANSWERS, HE will not disappoint!!

So below is the song and the lyrics, that in one single day, over and over again, this song re-wrote my destiny and gave me hope!  Today, is the day I choose to put my hope in nothing less then Jesus Christ and proclaim, that I will yet stand up and give Him GLORY with my life!

I have a hope, I have a future, I have a destiny, That is yet awaiting me
My life’s not over, A new beginning’s just begun, I have a hope, I have this hope
God has a plan, It’s not to harm mem But it’s to prosper me, And to hear me when I call
He intercedes for me, Working all things for my good, Though trials may come, I have this hope
I will yet praise Him, My Great Redeemer, I will yet stand up, And give Him glory with my life, He takes my darkness, And He turns it into light
I will yet praise Him, My Lord, my God
My God is for me, He’s not against me, So tell me whom then, Tell me whom then shall I fear
He has prepared for me, Great works He’ll help me to complete, I have a hope, I have this hope
Goodness and mercy, They’re gonna follow me, And I’ll forever dwell, In the house of my great King
No eye has ever seen, All He’s preparing there for me
Though trials may come, I have this hope
I will yet praise Him, My Great Redeemer, I will yet stand up, And give Him glory with my life
He takes my darkness, And He turns it into light, I will yet praise Him, My Lord, my God, There’s still hope for me today, Cause the God of Heaven loves me

  1. Tracy, you hit it right in the center. I was singing this song in my head this morning when I was getting ready for work. I love this song, especially knowing that God is on our side. He is our hope and our redeemer. I am blessed to know you and your wonderful insights that God gives to you.

  2. Right from Jesus himself, that is where I come up with it. So, follow me and I’ll take you there. This little gem of understanding hope and moving my hope from, hoping in OTHERS and in THINGS came right from worship! Worship is one of the integral ways! I literally listened to this song 40+ times on my drive to and from Eugene. Worship for 6 hours!!! So if you want to find a place of rest, then go sit in the presence of God until it comes down and envelopes you! You can join me here, its a choice and it really does come through worship!

  3. How do you come up with this stuff, girl??! im trying to understand, i really am, but i think your a coulple steps higher than me on the spiritual steps and i just dont get it yet… but im happy for you that you have found a place for your mind to rest- in perfect peace- in the presence of God, rather than down here where things are a lot more gloomy! i wanna join you! tell me how….
