ONE

I’m am not one to be superstitious or follow mystic paths…..I’m convinced God is up to something and I’m on a journey to figure out what He is trying to say.  For the last 6 months or so…multiple times a day I will see the number 111 or 1111.  This is mostly with time.  I always seem to look at a clock and see 1:11 or 11:11.  This can be night or day but inevitably I see that time.

It really started to catch my attention and as I took notice I decided I better find out the significance.  I’ve been doing a study of the number one in the bible and looking at the first scriptures, the first words of Jesus, firsts of all sorts.  I stumbled across this idea of “one will” today and want to share it with you.

There is a day coming that no one will dispute the rule of God.  ” And the Lord shall be King over all the earth; In that day shall there be one LORD, and His name one.”  Where there are more wills than one, there can be no peace, no rest.

I have been in a time of restlessness, a time where peace is far away, a time that God has shown me is brought on by my WILL taking charge over HIS!  The secret of rest for  my heart is ONE WILL.  That will, not being mine but being the WILL of GOD.  We can not know true rest until we are subject to the will of God.  He says, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  Rest is to be found only in subjection to the Father’s will.  This is the secret of ONE.  One will, One Peace, One Rest, One God.

E.W. Bullinger says it wonderfully: Just think if we were occupied with the Lord instead of with ourselves, with the Blesser instead of with our “blessing”, we should soon have such a sense of His grace and glory and power as would convince us that His will is better than ours; and then, instead of being busy with ourselves and enquiring how we are to give up our will, we should see that His is so good that we really loathe our own, and desire only His.
