Did you know the words “Happily Ever After” are found no where in the word of God?
It does say “I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life” John 6:47
But my experience has been that life is not always happy. So, if I “believe” I may have everlasting life….but not necessarily be happily ever after life.
The romantics tells us that they lived “happily ever after”, after they got married. That’s not always true.
My dad would say you’ll live “happily ever after”, if you fund your Roth IRA.
I tell my kids they’ll live “happily ever after”, if they obey their mamma.
So, what’s the deal? Who holds the key to happily ever after? Is it your love interest or your bank account or your retirement fund or the car you drive or the grades you get or or or…….. We can really go on and on with this. What will bring your “happily ever after”? May I suggest you just decide to grab hold of “happily ever after” no matter what your circumstance. No matter what your marital status. No matter what your bank account.
I’ve decided that ‘Happily Ever After’ is a state of mind and I’m in it
Cheers!
