What does the bible say about middle school students?

I Google everything.  Mostly its helpful.  Sometimes its not.

My son is in 6th grade and has become a creature from a different planet.  Not really….he just swings between being a boy to being more mature to being a blubbering mess.  You can see him spinning out of control emotionally and desperately trying to hold onto control, when clearly he feels and is reacting as if his world is spinning too.  Welcome to middle school.

Today I Googled “what does the bible say about middle school students”.  Brilliant, huh!  Well when you’re a desperate mom who doesn’t have time to use the bible concordance and won’t be dropping to your knees for a couple more hours…desperate…while praying unceasingly, you go to Google for the quick, sometimes helpful, answers.

Google brought me information about drinking, government, missions, children who murder…all related to middle school students.  I found nothing on “troubleshooting the middle school child” or “Handbook for Lost Mom’s of Middle Schooler’s” or “Middle School Boys: The Ins and Out of It All”.  The two helpful things that reset  my perspective, were in relation to being a good parent and children being a blessing…..all good things, of course, coming from the Father in Heaven and directly from His word. ~Go figure…..

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord” psalm 127:3

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children”  Isaiah 54:13

SAAAWEET….all my children will be taught by the Lord.  Pressure released.  Anxiety casted.  Cares taken care of and peace comes.

Loving my heritage,

Mother of a Middle Schooler
