Come Lord Jesus

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!  Today is actually not Thanksgiving and I actually haven’t written in 6 days, BLAH!

Sorry for that…sometimes life just grabs ahold of ya and takes you for a rideSmile

Today is my beautiful mothers birthday ~Happy Birthday Mom~.

Its also the first day that Christmas music echoed in the halls of our home!  MMMM  BLESSED!

This day also brought the Christmas decorations into our home and the “forever” tree fills the corner of the room.  Turns out, “forever” trees aren’t really all they’re cracked up to be.  Instead of lighting up like usual, strands and strands of lights were out and there was no fixing them.  I just spent the last 3 hours wire cutting lights off the “forever” tree.  It is now just a fake tree with no lights in the corner of my home.  Christmas magic will have to spill onto it another day!

As I end my day and prepare for another holiday meal tomorrow night, with a new family that God has graced my life with, I contemplate traditions. We all have them and one of our family traditions is this prayer:

Come Lord Jesus, Be our guest, and let these gifts to us be blessed.

Let there be a goodly share on every table everywhere.

Amen

Come Lord Jesus.  What if each day, each meal, each breath, we sang to God….COME LORD JESUS.  Would He come sooner?  Sooner to take us all to the place He is preparing for us?  Sooner to the circumstances we need Him to show up in?  Sooner to the loved ones we are praying to meet Him?  Sooner to comfort us?  Sooner to resurrect?  Sooner to……

COME LORD JESUS
