Once upon a time a woman named Ruth was widowed with 2 children. She worked hard to support her family and provide for her children. Ruth was a noble woman and she worshipped the One True God. He became her everything. She trusted God to provide all she needed physically, emotionally and spiritually. She never felt alone or lacking because of her God.One day, a handsome man walked into Ruth’s life. We’ll call him Boaz. He had never been married and had no children, and he was getting along in years:) He was astounded to have found such a woman as Ruth. Boaz was very respectful of Ruth. He was very polite and courteous. He never took advantage of her and was patient with her. Both Ruth and Boaz knew that God had arranged this friendship and they were excited for what the future held. Boaz loved Ruth.
As time went by Boaz felt like he needed to take a moment and go to the mountain and seek God’s face. When he was away Ruth was very sad, she missed Boaz but knew that God had a plan for her. She knew that God’s plans hadn’t changed even though it looked like everything was changing. She prayed for Boaz. She prayed that the Holy Spirit would be all over him and that he would be led by God and God would give him the desires of his heart, even if that meant a life without her. Ruth loved him and wanted God’s best for him.
When Boaz came back from his time away, he slowly tip toed back into Ruth’s life. Ruth asked Boaz what God said to him. Boaz said “It’s time to choose. All or nothing” She told Boaz that she loved him. He said, “you do?” “I do” Said Ruth. “Love doesn’t go away when the person is gone. True love never fails.” Boaz said “I believe that to be true” Boaz paused and after a moment of silence he said “I. Love. You.” Ruth said “You do?” He said “I do” She said “Then buy the field Boaz” He said “I’m on my way” She said “Drive safe”

I read this much earlier, but I just read it again. I like this parallels you draw. I do not question your heart for God, your faithfulness in careful discernment of the leading of the Spirit. A small line from Star Wars comes to mind, “You must do what you feel is right, of course.” What you feel is right is what He tells you, via prayer, in His stirring of your soul, in voices of friends, and even responses on your blog. Resting in His presence will provide you everything you need.

I do have a desire to be daily surrendered to God. My heart follows hard after Him! This is a wonderful testimony and when God works in your life his grace and mercy is undeniable. Patricia King is familiar to me:). A response to his video would take much more then a comment.
Perhaps the Holy Spirit will lead my writing to blog about it someday. My story is different then the testimony but God’s hand was all over it none-the-less.
