Sharing My Heart

Words of Destiny

Destiny is used with regard to the finality of events as they have worked themselves out; and to that same sense of ‘destination’, projected into the future to become the flow of events as they will work themselves out.

I share this with you because each year since 2008, God has given me a word a the beginning of the year that will DEFINE the year. It is the destiny that is to be mine. None of it is my doing, but as I have been called by him to be his daughter, he has been faithful to work out his call on my life.

Here are the words of destiny:
2008 Breakthrough
2009 Glory
2010 Restoration
2011 Stand Tall
2012 Resolution(be resolved to know nothing more then Christ Jesus as Lord)
2013 Acceleration

When these words first drop into my lap, I usually am apprehensive. For example the word Restoration was doubtful. I couldn’t see it at the beginning of 2010, as a matter of fact I really saw more destruction in my future then restoration. BUT he is faithful…I was restored.

Early Spring 2012 I took apart the scripture Romans 8:28 and we spent a couple days really understanding that verse. I enjoyed my study of it, but i fell short. The real meat of this verse follows in verses 29 & 30. I’ll be spending some time in those and will probably end up sharing with you what is revealed.

I wrote about my apprehension of Acceleration here but as you can see God gave me reassurance that it was a good thing. I trust him implicetly to finish the good work he has started and I can do this because I believe Romans 8:29-30

Romans 8:29-30 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified he also glorified.

What word is your destiny for 2013? Pray about it he has predestined you to be conformed to the likeness of his son. you have been called, he has justified, you will be sanctified and glorious Glory will be given to him!
